Why Didn't You Write Me?

Day 9: Complete

Morning session: 5.18 miles
Evening session: 7.55 miles
Total distance: 12.73 miles

Broke my "No meat after 9" rule. By the time I got home from playing ball, and showered, it was like 9:10, and mom was making burgers. Sue me. :)

Tomorrow will most likely be the first day I don't reach 10+ miles. I'm headed to Wichita to play some ball with my Wichita State compadres. Then most likely sticking around for my friend Rachel's birthday dinner. So I won't get a whole lot of running in. Luckily, I'm at a pace where I can probably afford to have one lax day.

Although my average pace is 12.92 miles per day. Hate to see that tail off a bit, but it will. Shame...

Hangin' with the "little" (he's bigger than me) bro for a bit right now, but on tap for later is football movie #7: The Longest Yard: the Adam Sandler remake, not the Burt Reynolds original.

Vague ramblings in 3...2...1...
So I got a pretty huge pick-me-up today that changes my outlook on things quite a bit. I've come to the conclusion that no one truly understands it but me and God. And by that, I mean no one understands it but God. But I at least sort of know where He's going with it.

I'm a little embarrassed by my lack of faith in a particular department of late, and I don't want to get too ahead of myself, but I kind of feel like He sent me a little reminder today.

And I just need to keep reminding myself...

Final thought: I am 88.4% sure of what I will do when I complete my 300-mile quest. My mind is all but made up. A little nervous about it, but I think it will be cool. Contemplating keeping it a secret, but could possibly be persuaded to share the idea with a good enough friend. :)

D, out.
